Statements of Faith
We believe that scripture teaches that there is only one true and living God who has chosen to reveal Himself as Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22.)We believe that every believer must have a personal & intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, for apart from Him we can do nothing. Each person has a ministry from God that no one else can fill. We are to instruct, teach, exhort, & admonish believers in the ways of God. (John 15: 1-5; Hebrews 13: 5, 6.)
We believe in water baptism by total immersion into the water. This signifies the believer has died with Christ and has been resurrected with Him to a brand new life! (Romans 6: 4; Colossians 2: 11, 12.)
We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God & the infallible rule of faith & conduct. (2 Timothy 3: 16, 17; Psalm 119: 89)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, & is now seated at the right hand of God the Father & is true God & true man. (Matthew 1: 20-24; 2:1; Ephesians 1: 20-23)
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the operation of His gifts. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men of sin; regenerate the believing sinner; indwell, guide, & empower the believer for godly living.
We believe in Tithing and bringing Offerings into the local church. We believe in giving alms, & caring for the poor, sick, homeless, & otherwise unfortunate. (Malachi 3: 10-11; Luke 6: 38; James 1:27)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved & the lost; the saved to everlasting life & the lost without Jesus Christ to everlasting separation from God. (Matthew 24: 31-46; Acts 24: 15; Revelation 22:11)
We believe those who are chosen and called by God and are saved/redeemed by grace through faith in Christ and are preserved by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18)
